Below are Market Analysis for properties sold in Austin, Texas from February 1, 2008 – February 1, 2009 and the previous year of February 1, 2007 – February 1, 2008. Please note that I only compared homes that are less than 3,000 square feet and below $500,000. The few multi-million dollar homes that I didn’t include have a tendency of throwing off the analysis. Also, the last column named DOM is Days on the Market or the amount of days it took to sell the home.

As you can see the average home price increased this year compared to last year. So as the rest of the Nation is dealing with high foreclosures rates, a slump in the Real Estate Market, Austin is not one of the cities that you will see on CNN.
